Liam Neeson brings another solid performance to a film. Unfortunately, the film doesn’t quite live up to Mr. Neeson’s steady, rock-solid presence as a recovering alcoholic and retired police officer that now works as a private detective. A drug trafficker, whose wife was murdered, hires Neeson’s character (Scudder) to find the killers. Along the way Scudder meets an intelligent, quick witted, homeless African American teenager, TJ, played wonderfully by Astro. However, TJ seems to be more of a story device to “help” our main character rehabilitate than integral part of the main story.
