Co-writer/Director Erik Skjoldbjærg (PROZAC NATION and INSOMNIA) has crafted a thriller that feels like it belongs to the paranoia and political corruption subgenre films from the 1970s. Petter (Aksel Hennie), a professional diver hired to help lay an oil pipeline 500 meters deep on the bottom of the Norwegian Sea, is placed in the position of detective trying to discover the real reason for a tragic accident that killed another diver. The story aside, the underwater photography is breathtaking—just as breathtaking as the cinematography from INTERSTELLAR! Overall, the film is good, and you can understand why a political activist like George Clooney is going to produce a remake of this movie for an American audience.
